I like how not a single picture is focused on what you are holding

psst...turn on the macro mode...or when in doubt zoom out.

cleaning battery cables is never a bad thing though...making them bigger is better tough.

While your cleaning those cables, you might want to check your coolant level.

This is a good thread to mention the "shadetree" way of getting acid flakes off...

A little Coca Cola and some baking soda will take that right off (and I have also heard of rally racers using this mixture to put on spent clutches to get them back...but I dunno 'bout that).

Dilectric grease works wonders to keep them clean, but petroleum jelly will work in a pinch too.

I was just going to suggest Coca Cola too. I've never used it myself, but I've heard it works.

We have a good dozen of these a month if you watch the 92-99 section. It'* worse in the winter/wet months. And I just went through this on my 95 recently. None was visible from the outside, but it was bad enough to MELT my cable ends.

I knew what the cause was the very SECOND the car stalled on me with a total loss of power.

The red boots need to be replaced. I was at the dealer before I went to the hobby shop to get some */C oil and did not think of it while I was there.

Sidenote,: I will be back at the shop this morning, like in an hour to do Both Belts, Coolant Swap, Fog Lights and other little things.

Nothing like the ol' hobby shop on base

I sure do miss them.
