Default Chevy Cruze & GM Powertrain: An Inside Look

Hey guys,

Haven't been on here in a while. I spend my time on CruzeTalk these days, but figured I'd pop in to post this.

I recently spent some time in Detroit and Warren, OH, where I had the opportunity to privately tour some of their facilities. I took many pictures and made a writeup.

I believe you guys will be quite interested to see everything that goes on behind the scenes.

Chevy Cruze & GM Powertrain: An Inside Look

Enjoy!

Would that be Warren MI, not OH? The GM Tech Centre at 12 Mile and Mound?

The Performance Build Center is in Wixom, MI. The Lordstown Assembly Plant is in Lordstown, OH, which according to the map appears to be somewhat of a suburb of Warren, OH.

I know. Your original post said you were in Warren OH. I am not aware of any GM facilities in Warren OH, and wondered if you meant Warren MI.

Either way, that was an interesting tour. Something I surely would have enjoyed being there in person.

An extra $5K to go in and build your own engine, I'd be all over that.

Wow! Very cool pics, thanks for sharing. And yeah if I was buying a new ZR1 I would pay the extra to build my own engine for sure!!!

Wow, that was excellent! Great job, Andrei!

If I had money to burn, I'd love to build my own Corvette engine. I assume they give you all the tools and help you'll need, right?
