Default Charlotte in Shop now (UPDATE)

Well finally put that stock airbox back on and took her to the dealer. I hope they don't find a reason not to honor the warrantee. My tranny was about done when I got there. Symptoms: Grinding sound when overdrive kicks in at aobut 45. Grinding sound when you put it in park on a slope. And when you let go of the brake from a stop you can feel the tranny hesitate. Anyways there'* no telling how long it will take for the shop to: Get to my car. Drive it. Drop the tranny pan. Probably find metal shavings. Send out for a warrantee tranny. Drop the old one and wait who knows how long for a new one. Put the new one in and break it in and hopefully they don't blow my motor up doing so. (Stock airbox with 3.4 pully ). But hey, I have a spare car to drive and the warrantee will probably cover it.

Idk I mean with my valvetrain work and exhaust work I figure it'* like running a 3.6 on a stock engine? Anyways the shop called and confirmed that it is definately the tranny... no ****. But yeah they said they have to tear into it now.

So they called and said they pulled everything apart and the orbital gear in there had come loose thus making the grinding sound in overdrive. I'm guessing the shards of metal in the piping caused the hesitation from a standstill. Anyways a GM guy has to come out and look at it and decide what'* to be done. So warrantee is in now, all I have to worry about now is them giving me a used tranny . I'd definately prefer at least a good rebuild.

ill put money on it saying you will get a rebuilt tranny, well this is a factory warrenty right?? cause when i got my gtp the bearing thing that always goes out on the superchargers went on my car and instead of tearing it apart and replacing the 25$ part they spend like 600$ and got a rebuilt M90 and put on there....

I put money on them putting in a GM remanufactured transmission. When mine went at 87k I had stock everything and 3.4" pulley. The aftermarket warranty shelled out $2200 for a remanufactured GM transmission alone, then they also paid the labor.

Goodluck!

Thats because "technically" the M90 is a non-serviceable unit.. atleast in GM'* eyes, even though we all know better.

yeah, GM doesn't make the superchargers so they probably sent yours to Eaton for service and put it on another car with a supercharger problem.

And yeah its the factory warrantee, good till 49000 miles. I last saw my odometer at 36k I believe.

Well i'm at a povotal moment over here. They are waiting for a GM person to come and say what is to be done. Now there is a SLIGHT chance that if he is SMART enough, he might see my supercharger pulley and void the warrantee.

I did go and see the car and they managed to pull the tranny without having to mess with the engine. They pulled the subframe down and pulled the plastic left fenderwell and probably had an easy time from there. I saw a little rusty spot on the flywheel is that normal? Anyways everyone plEEEse pray that GM guy gives me a transmition :P

EDIT: Nevermind guys the guy just called and said the rep came up and ordered me a brand new transmition!!!!! So probably by next week I'll have my car back. :P :P :P :o :o :o
