only if these engines and trannies were good and not always messing up
Just because you got a lemon doesn't mean that the powertrain found in h-bodys are bad. Mine has been flawless and I beat the crap out of it. You just got a bad egg. If you don't like it try and make a close trade with a dealor with a similar age model Bonneville.

Oh, Billboost, I have had LOTS of repairs under warranty already... but you are right. I mentioned disposables. Having had a prob with tranny, and this and that, I couldn't have afforded this car without a warranty.

Sorry to hear it'* driving you nuts. Everybody gets a stinker at least once in their life. Mine was a Volvo back in the 80s. Supposedly, the pinnacle of superior and durable engineering at the time.

pos.

I finally dumped it after 2 years. It had 60,000 mi on the odometer. Plus 2000 mi going up and down on my mechanic'* lift.

Cars should be a source of fun and enjoyment. If this one'* not adding to that, say 'NEXT".

Life is too short to let a bucket of metal bring any misery to it.

I hated getting rid of my last car, my fireturd. It was finally getting to the point where it could be decently fast. I just couldnt have a daily driver that kept on breaking. Went through 3 rear end gear sets. dang 10 bolts. plus, it was lemonish, too. in addition to the gears, itwouldnt pass emissions from the dealer(they spent bout 2,400 trying to find the problem ), had to change opticrap, waterpump, radiator, fuel pump, both window assemblies, etc. i missed racing with that car so bad, but im glad i switched to this one(gas milage and reliablilty FTW). good luck with your car(or your search for a new one, if it comes to that.)
