Finally the Viper came in today, still waiting on the immobilizer bypass to come in and make an appointment for it to go in

you can see why I'm going to a pro, there are 7 different wiring harnesses, and they have to change certain options through a scantool type thing for the "brain"

I hope the Bypass your using is a Bypasskit DLPKGM...

You can run D2D with that unit and it minimizes connections. basically all data.

It does Parking Light Flash,Door Locks, Trunk, Factory Arm and Disarm, automatic Rear Defogger, Heated Seats on Under 32F (if you have them) and Last but not least Door Trigger.

And Even though that looks intimidating I did my Bonneville in less than an hour.. 90% of the cars I do are under 2 hours with these new D2D modules its like butter. longest part of the job is Merc. switch and Tach (some modules do tach through D2D, DLPKGM does not).

that scan tool is called a Bitwriter used to program all the options and fine tune the remote start it can be done via push button but its much quicker.

I was told PLJX by the installer beacuse thats what his book said, which now I realize is only for Passlock, not Passkey! So he said if the PLJX doesn't work he has the right one in stock but I already bought the PLJX

UPDATE: just bought the DLPKGM, now just gotta convince the installer thats the one he needs, I told him my key says PK3 on it and he understood but his book says the PLJX is for the 2000 which works for the resistor type keys, so now I have a brand new PLJX, anyone with a pre-2000 wanna put a remote start in?

I think I might buy the DLPKGM and save some money, I just don't want to mess with it and I'm not paying for it anyway so I would rather have a professional do it to keep the warranty

Thanks to RPerry I got the right bypass and combo unit, hopefully the install shop doesn't scratch their heads when they look at it, I looked at the install instructions and they look pretty straight forward

I will post a video of all the features when I pick it up this afternoon

Ok well it took them 2 days to do it, they didn't use the DLPKGM that I gave them which upsets me, and tore apart all my wiring under the dash

Right now my pushbutton start doesn't work, my turn signal mirrors don't work, my steering wheel controls don't work, my accessory power doesn't work unless I flip the constant power on to them so that means no Audi strips, angel eyes, vacuum gauge, or interior LED kit, they messed with my HID starter disable so instead of disabling the HIDs when the starter is engaged they were disabled all the time! WTF guys?!?!

Now I need to tear the whole dash apart beause they took all the slack out of the wires to be able to take stuff apart easily

Oh then instead of using the SmartTach that DEI integrated they used a hardwire tach line which they put in a loom over the top of the SC and through the firewall right behind the rear manifold well the loom touched the manifold and started burning, since they didn't use the bypass/combo box my defroster doesn't function from the remote start and when the car is remote started the ABS, Brake, and TRAC OFF lights are on, when I put my key in sometimes the TRAC OFF stays on and pushing the button has no effect, then sometimes when it is remote started SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM is on the DIC all beacuse they used an XK06 instead of the DLPKGM to make it easier

I'd be going right back.

Sorry to see it. This is reason #1`why I always decided in the past to do my own installs. When it'* your car, you do a cleaner nicer job and use right parts instead of the parts you are used to.

What a Freaking BitCh! Crunk. I'd be all about going insane on the people for all that. On top of the shoddy workmanship, they defeated one of the key functions of having remote start (defrosters) and screwed royally with the DIC/PCM interaction. When I took my in for the remore, I drove the car into the bay mrself, explained all my mods, and made sure he, or the install, would change anything. What a Freaking Moron this installer must be. I went simple and basic with my remote. Very glad I did now.

All the other work I've seen this shop do is great, it must have been a bad installer there

There was a waiver about the extra wiring but at least make it all function properly with the car, oh they didn't give me back the bypass module I gave them and it was $45 to get it and they didn't even use it
