Default Can't believe this!

Water pump fails, pays 210.00 to have it replaced. 2 weeks later trans dies without any indication. Saves money to get it rebuilt (1500.00). Gets it back, drives for a day notice'* its leaking fluid. Brings it back to have the seal replaced. Picks up the car. and goes to pick up supper, hits a bump in the road and breaks off the stabilizer link which then tears a hole in the cv boot. So now its back to the garage on Monday. It'* gotta end soon doesn't it, or is it time to give up?

I got to that point with my 95. Ended up giving it up, but I miss it everyday.

Heh, mine'* white and I gave up on it after my heater core went bad. Basically I'm just not feeling like I want to spend more on a car than what was initially paid for it.

Save yourself a bunch of money by doing the repairs yourself. Water pumps are only about $35 for a GOOD one.

Axles are about $150 for that torn boot.

It helps ALOT to do your own work on your cars to save money, new or old.

Like Wren said, you could have done the water pump yourself. On the SE'* they are very easy to do. All you need is a Saturday morning.

Don't give up on it! Look at it this way, and say it very quietly to yourself.... "what else could go wrong?" Seems as though you've just had a bad streak of luck. No reason to give up on a car that now owes you so much.
