Because your car originally came with tires that were not Z-rated. And the 121 limiter is in the PCM....

Impressive! I know a lot of car manufacturers put speed limiters in there because they don't install Z-Rated tires on their cars from the factory, and they don't want a 'liability' because of that. I stand corrected!

how can we find this out if we DONT have this sticker on our car? lol.... my car had been repainted awhile back and the stickers were removed but never put back on....

well lets see know, I do need a tune up and some moe things done to the car and some tiires. If I do all of this, I might be able to do the Z-rated limit. That would be nice. Then after that I will never speed again......

Why would my car come equipped with Z rated tires from the factory yet the ECM shuts down my car at 116? Doesn't seem to make much sense if you ask me.
