GMPD states that the bin trim plate (smaller piece in the pic) includes the latch assembly and the cup holder.

*EDIT* The bin trim plate does indeed include the "new" cup holder and latch as one assembly.

GM PART # 25639345 is the part number for both the cup holder and the gray trim that rests under the center console. I believe that the cupholder is a different part number by itsels but you might as well get the whole assembly in case you ever break the latch.

Keep in mind that this is the part number that GMPD gave me for the 92-95 application. Please verify that it will work for your 99. Actually, post your results here so if there is a difference, there will be one source for the numbers. Then maybe they can be put into Techinfo.

Are you trying to go to the upgraded design?

The upgrade was in 1996... Too many of the 92-95'* were breaking in this area... Broke mine twice and got pissed and ordered new parts for 96-99.... The fun part was ripping the center5 console all apart to repair the crapp..
yes i want the upgrade.... isnt this it?

Crap!!! Why didn't you say so sooner? I could have stuck one in the package I sent your dad on Wednesday (did he get it yet?). I have the 'new' unit from the 1997 SSE parts car.
Can't seem to get anyone interested in it for $18 including shipping ($15 in MN).
