Actually that damage isnt too bad at all, the sheet metal on the door looks just pushed in so you could easily pound that out, you could probably get that out without even taking off the door skin. You could zap some studs to that quarter also and pull it out, but below the gas cap kind of worries me, but its definately an easy repair, you wouldnt need to cut and reweld a new quarter in, thats for sure.
