Does anyone know what the 69 chevelle SS has under the hood? because I was at the light in my 99 bonie and this guy pulls up next to me, he starts inching forward and so do I so then he revs, needless to say when the light turned the race was on. It was dead even up to 40-45 when My car shifted to 2nd, and then he took me. I know he had a 4 barrel and a heavey cam setup, and exhaust, so what was I hanging with? My bet is a beefy 350 or something.

The smaller V8 that the Chevelle'* got were the 350 if I am correct. But the 454 was also another option... I think.. If he hada 454, you would know it.
