Default Bother with 2x Magnaflows?

Should I bother at this point? The local shop said they could weld them up when I get a CAT installed, but I think I want to keep the car "performance" sounding and I fear that these mufflers will make it sound raspy...almost ricerish if you will. Thoughts?

hey you bought them, be our test dumbie!! If it sounds good I will be super jealous. You can't sell them off again, these mufflers are feeling worthless.

I wouldn't sell them unless someone came to me. They would be a fine replacement if the OEM ones failed.

I heard someone'* car from this forum with what I believe to be magnaflows and, no offense, they sounded very raspy.

Yea, I believe SilverBullet is the only person running Magnaflows on a 00+. He has a custom 3" exhaust though.

And he has no cat and resonator.

Maggies shouldn't be raspy if you have a cat and resonator. They should sound damn good.

I'm basing my comments on the cars I've heard and my own preference for sound. Mostly with the crossflow.

And also backing that up by clarifying Paul'* setup has no bearing on you whatsoever considering he'* 3" all the way back with nothing but the mufflers.

Yeah, thats why I trust your opinion because my exhaust is original.

As long as you leave the resonator on, it won't sound raspy at all. May be an unfair comparision as it has 2 more cylinders, but the Magnaflows on my car sound freakin great.
