the bonneville is a better choice the interior is a lot better and its a mix of luxury and sportiness it may be a bit slower than the grand prix but thats something that can be changed with a mod or two.the bonneville has more room , better suspension , more features and not to mention that i dare you to look about it.

I have a 96 SSE and drive the g/f'* 98 GTP coupe quite a bit. Can't speak on the speed difference (I'm NA) but her car does grip the road! Handling goes to the GP but Comfort and Quality of interior and trim goes to the Bonneville hands down. And i think the weight difference is nominal - couple hundred lbs.

Thanks for the input so far! I am still partial to Bonnys, but I really like the look of the GTP'*. The Bonnys have more "gadgetry", correct?

No, the GTP will not have more controls/functions/buttons then the SSEi Bonneville.
