Default bonny finally gone up in smoke... beware

sitting in my bonny at idle dosing off in front of my door listening to some sounds, a guy comes up and bangs on my windows telling me, yelling my car is on fire. I get out to look and its fire dripping from my engine. I run in the house to get water to extinguish the flames dripping on the ground that doesn’t work and in seconds my engine compartment is up in flames...car is done, bye bye bonny ...had to call Baltimore City Fire Department to put the fire out...... I have no idea what the cause was. the car was running fine other then i had a check engine light telling me a cylinder was at a random misfire but in would never be able to tell the way the car was running....will have pics later on today......dam... anybody need parts?....I spent so so much money on that ride....thinking about getting a 05 Buick Ultra Supercharged....good decision yes or no?

Sorry to hear. Just be glad you made it out of there unharmed! That is a close one!

I bet you were struck by the dreaded FPR failure. These cars really aren't known to just "catch on fire", and I bet your FPR finally failed and exploded the upper intake and caught fire.

Could also be the wiring for the amp. Did you have a fuse close to the battery on your power cable?

Oh man... I could only imagine if something like that were to happen to me. I don't know what I'd do. I'd probably just sit there and stare at it for a good hour. Then, hop online and find an SSEi lol. I dig the SLE though...

The fact that you had a CEL in regards to a misfire tells me you were losing fuel at the rail...quite possibly a leaky FPR.
That seriously sucks man, I wouldnt wanna see that.

Now, fire dripping from the car... That is interesting. I'm really, really sorry your car went up in flames, and I hope you can recover financially. That 05 Ultra seems like an amazing deal, and if you can, go for it!
