My 2 cents... and with NY taxes that ain't sayin much.....If he needs it to be inexpensive then try to find another one around the same year. Then you keep some of the upgraded parts and have others for spare parts. Keeps it cheap. I believe you said in the other thread the car was not covered by collision so keep it as a parts car if you have the room. If no pull everything out that is good and store it. (if you have the space)

Couple cheap bonneville'* in rochester: http://rochester.craigslist.org/sear...ery=bonneville

And my dad is looking at a 96 SE with the SLE package for $750. if he decides not to get it, I could pass the info on. It'* in binghamton, but he might be able to have the mechanic look at it (he would before he considered it)

Windshield - so true about NYS taxes! That'* the same idea I have and will wait until he finds a car before parting it all out, if that'* what he ends up doing.

Great leads everyone! Thanks for your help! I always forget about checking craigslist, for some reason....

This seems like the most cost effictive idea to me. Ditchboy'* interior looked pretty good. Why not buy another older Bonneville and do some parts transfers?
