Default bonneville vs. gran prix rear manifold
here is the basic difference in plain view if anyone was wondering

1997 GTP
2001 SSEi

on the far right is the GP, the one with the crossover attached is the bonnie, see how the exit to the downpipe is centered on the GP, and not centered on the bonnie...also the bonne appears more tubular, and harder to port, but the GP looks like it has a fair amount of metal cast to it

front manifolds are the same part number, and crossvers are the same, one is just backwards in the pic

Yep I've got a pic comparing a bonnie to a gp rear manifold somewhere too. I just wasn't sure of the years. The bonnie looks a little more restrictive.

Mike, do you bu chance have a Pic of the 95-96 Rear manifold?

Might make for a tech article, so that everyone can understand where the changes were and the diffrenced between the C, H and W body exahust manifolds...

Mikes comment about being more restrictive caught my eye. I'm thinking they might have done that to put the cars on more equal ground for total exhaust restriction.

I can take a pic of a S1 left manifold and crossover tonight. Hopefully I'll be finding a right this weekend. Hitting a couple of big yards in PA.

I have seriously Hijacked Haro'* thread... So I have to Apollogize to him for that...

I dropped him a PM...


I do feel that this would make a great Tech Info Article on the diffrences revolving around the exahust manifolds... From year to year and possibly what will and won't fit other years...

Looks to be some great info here

no prob don.. as state in my PM, i dont care about hijacking unless i am trying to find an answer... and this post was direct to exactly how its going...

i can get more pics of outlets and inlets also...
