So when is the West coast tentatively scheduled for? Maybe some of us would like to hit up both the Central and West. Meet some of the members and see their rides up close and personal. Maybe try to have one early in the year and the other later so that they dont conflict with each other?

I don't see any problem with 2 different meets, but there can only be one bonneville fest. Totally understand that people that live far away can't make it, doubt I'll be going to Canada/west coast in my ssei anytime soon. The Rockford meet should be the fest though. I want it too turn out like the beretta fest. A 2-3-4 day event would be cool, definitly one day at the track would make it even better.'

Just make the events on different weekends so some people can attend both and have higher turn outs.

I'm willing to help out with the Rockford event if I can do anything. I live 40 min. away and more than willing to do what I can if it'* needed

I have made a thread with new March/GTA meet info.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...=115275#115275

If we can get somehting like this together before new years, it'll be a good step in the right direction. A timeline for necessary things should be established for each meet should be set by the people holding it.

The original intent of this post:

My proposal is to start a forum in the Gatherings section for these two meets for the purpose of planning, and an "East" meet if that materializes. The coordinators would moderate this forum. As of now, it would be Allmachtige for Central and PontiacDad for West.
This thread is to establish HOW we are going to keep the meet planning organized, not to discuss it here. We need to pull all this together in one forum. It'* scattered all over.

The spring meet should be organized in Gatherings, as it'* more of a 'local' thing. the West could possibly be the same, unless it coincides with the Bonneville Fest, in which case all may want to know what'* planned for the other meet......

The question is "How are we going to keep this planning process organized?"

Well for example, i think Allmachtige can't do this alone at all for his meet. I dont' know what your west coast one is shaping up like, but i think you'll need atleast 2 people working on it. One for organizing the route, places, times, and one to talk to facilities, etc.

I am up for having them in two different places. Just because it is in two places doesnt mean we still cant have a big turnout. Plus the cost would be way to high for people to travel from the west coast. I think the members from each chapter should talk amongst each other and then apoint a couple people to talk with the other chapter. Then set a time & date for people to join a chat room or whatever and talk about it. Or if possible have a meeting type deal at somebody'* house or resturaunt. Thats my

We're not discussing whether there should be 2 meets here. Many of the westies CAN'T go to the Rockford meet. That'* a given. This discussion is about whether or not there'* a need for a forum for the purposes of PLANNING the meets.

Also I gave notice of this event many months back in hopes that people would set aside some time during the summer and plan ahead.

Let me know here and now why you won't be able to make it to Rockford, IL in July....I was unaware of any conflicts.

I'm sorry if I did not get across the enormous amplitude of BonnieFest 2004 before, hopefully now I have and we can come to a resolution that makes everyone happy.
You have to admit...Rockfort, Il. is not exactly a "central" location. It will be much farther for some than others and very hard miles through the Rockies. If you've ever had to take those passes, you know what I mean. And from the West, you have the Sierras to to either circumvent or scale. It'* hard on vehicles. And the ears...

EDIT-->I posted before I saw that last one...Sorry, Will... :?
