Default Bonneville gxp mufflers

Thinking about putting different mufflers on my 05 bonneville gxp. Has anyone changed theirs? What type would fit and sound a little bit more agressive? Does the chrome tips come off easy to put on new mufflers? Thanx Garyrazy

Sorry but no, no, and no. LOL. The GXP muffler system is a one piece welded system supplied by Bosal. Front to back. One piece. The OEM replacement runs about $799. The Tips have to be cutoff and rewelded. There have been 2 people that I know of in the Forum that have had a shop cut their Bosals off and have Flowmasters welded back on. I'm going to go with Corsa Stainless in time, but not at the expense of cutting a perfectly good tuned system off before it needs it.

LOL!~ I had/have the same feelings, I'd like mine to sound a bit more aggressive, but dont want to cut up a tuned one piece welded exhaust. But when the time comes for replacement, I will definitely going aftermarket. The OEM replacement is near $700. That buys alot more sound than stock.
