Damn, that sucks!! Sounds like a contributory state. Alabama is one of those contributory states also. If you had anything part in the accident they will find fault like 70%/30% between the 2 parties. Mississippi isn't like that. Here - if you have collision on your policy you have coverage no matter what you did /hit and only have to pay your deductible.

Sorry about your bad luck. I'm surprised the estimate was only $5,000. But if that included used parts I could understand, if there was no unibody damage. I had a front bumper and fender replaced from an accident once and the estimate was $2600. Of course every shop is different too.

And if the tow truck co. does bill you I would definitely say something about the damage they caused...did you see them do it?

Nope, I was at work when they towed it. I figure I will wait to see if I get a bill and then say something. I'm sure the body shop guy would remember my car and could vouch for there being no rear end damage from the guard rail that only hit the front of the car; and thebusted and shatered pieces of the tail light are still inside the tail light housing, I would think they would have fallen out during the 25 mile tow down the highway to my house. They must have backed it into the barn before putting it inside.

I do not beleive I will be fixing it. I am going to check on a GTP and one other car...depending on that I will either be parting out all or some of it. I have been (and will be still somewhat) busy with my new house. I am going to be traveling for work, out of state, for the first 2 weeks of April so I will not be able to pull anything myself durring that time. I could probably arrange, however, if someone wanted to get parts themselves. I just need a couple more days for my final decision.
