HA ! I know from experiance. Years ago I had a 80 Lesabre that was swiped and recovered . When I went to pick it up in the tow yard the column was busted and thats how I started the car( the same way the thieves did) until I got rid of it. I;m not going to tell you how because some of the youngn'* here might get an idea. If any of you guys have an old GM car you like guard your column.

It held up pretty well too. It had hubcaps and some dents on the front fender anyway.
