Exterior wise on a 92-96 SE there is no way to know if it'* a SLE for sure. Yeah you can make an educated guess(spoiler, leather, sunroof...) but until you pop the trunk and see the RPO code you can't be certain. Officially there was no SLE from 92-96, it was just an option package that you could have. Want proof? Find, say a 94 that has a SLE badge. Can't? Thats because there WAS no 94 SLE, just a 94 SE with options.
And as far as an SSEi, they didnt badge them that until 93. Let'* just say that GM had a very goofy way of labeling the trim levels on the Bonneville from 92-99.

Saw an old Italian woman once driving about an inch away from the steering wheel in an 88-91 SSE. Going ridiculously slow too *shakes head*

I'd say they were designed for "older" people, not just "old" people.

lets get things straight the SLE started in 93 and was a Package, as listed Sport Luxury Package on my window Sticker, My car is not listed as a SE but an SLE

you can tell the 93 SLE'* with the N10

OFFICALLY there was SLE package.......anything with the H4U option code IS an SLE not a SE. the SSE and the SSEI are nothing more than option codes too

your are correct they started badging the SLE and giving them the SSE/SSEi body stlye in 98

and the SLE has the SE body from 93-97, and the SSE/SSEI body in 98+

and there were SSEI'* in 92 that had the SSEI badge

I'm with you. The only way that I can really tell by glancing is whether or not the car has leather seats. If it has leather, I just assume it'* an SLE. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me. Unless it'* supercharged or an SSE, they're all an SE to me.

Alien...you have managed to anger the SLE Specialist gods! LOL.

You know what is funny is I remeber people couldn't understand why my GTP was fast.
But I have an SE (with leather hahaha) anyway. I was rolling to work the other day and some riced out Nissian Sentra a newer one and I roared away from the stop light and the look on his face was priceless when I pulled away...Ah GM how I love thee.
