Some of you may or not know the various issues I've had with holding a transmission together. Unfortunately my Bonneville has come to the end of my patience with trying to hold the power with all the mods in the engine.
The engine has never been dyno'd but is almost an exact replica of Todd Allen'* (Intense-Racing) old car 8-ball. Here'* the highlights:
L67
Stage 3 heads (130# springs, titanium retainers)
Gen V
Full intercooler
Electric WP
S1X cam with 1.8 rockers on top of that for .579"/.592" lift
N* TB
Todd'* car dyno'd at over 450chp and over 370whp. My motor untuned will break the tires free on dry pavement from 35mph. This is with many weight transfer and traction mods in place.
On to the topic. The other night something in the trans let me know it was unhappy (again). I have two race built transmissions and can't keep things together long enough to enjoy the power from the motor and finish up a complete tune. I have given the car many second chances and it'* time to pull the plug on the money pit I've enjoyed for the last five years.
In the next couple weeks I will be pulling the drivetrain and dropping a stock engine/trans combo under the hood. Many moddified items will be coming out of the car. This includes the 3 gauge hud panel, button modified seat switch panel, drag bags, and many other goodies.
Now on to the decision of dropping it into a Fiero or parting it out.

That'* quite a lot of power.
I've never done the research, but is there a reason why L67 guys that put down a whole lot of power don't just bolt in a 5 speed or 4T80E?
Won't you have the same trans problems in a fiero?

Fiero, the lighter weight of the Fiero will take the strain off the transmission and let you enjoy the power. Bet you can do a wheel stand with it.
I might be interested in the drag bags.

floor your 400hp bonnie taking a left turn and then do the same in your 400hp RWD Fiero
