But yeah, I'm contemplating putting them into a Prix.. it all depends on how wide they are. I already have a feeling they're too wide, but I want to make sure before I do anything dramatic. If someone goes out to measure, you should measure the track width too! :) edit - your wink smilie looks like he has some kind of disease. like jaundice or something. |

Front to back and side to side. No need to include the console. The MAIN thing is side to side of the individual seat. I have a feeling that the Bonneville seats are just going to be too wide to fit. The plan is to run 2 Bonneville seats in the front with the original GP console. As far as legroom is concerned.. I never ride in the back .. unless I'm drunk. In either case, I could care less how much legroom there is.

At the widest point (the side "huggers") I got 24", opened full. If you adjust the "huggers" in, the widest point then becomes the lower seat at 23 1/2". Front to back measurement was 26". Let me know if you need anything else.

Not that anyone cares.. but it'll be a damn close fit. I'd have to get a pair and set in there just to be sure.. its close. Mine now are 2 inches smaller.. there are a few inches to spare by the doors, but its tight against the console, so I'd somehow have to even the two out. I think its gonna come down to the tracks.
Anybody know of a cheap place to pick up a pair of front buckets? I'm not even gonna bother with the yards here.. they bend ya over.. and if you didn't bring lube, look out  Here's what I've got to work with (without fabricating new brackets) The measurements are center to center. http://gra.midco.net/rondorf/seat2.JPG |
We got a few people parting cars out here, watch "For Sale or Trade"

Damn, I wished you lived closer to Oregon, but the shipping would kill you. I've got a few here.
Who was that that had a TON of bonnevilles in a local wrecker? 94ssegold? sse4u2me? I forget. Somewhere out in the midwest? Not that anyone here cares..... I'd personally LOVE to see you pulll this off! |
I'd love to see it work as well. IF the tracks are the same/similar, I'll make the 3-4 hour drive to the cheaper yards in this state and pick up a pair. I just don't want to make the round trip to find out they won't work. Then I've got more furniture to put in my garage. I've honestly got 10-15 GP seats out there now.. leather, cloth, any color, you name it, its probably there from all my past (failed) projects. I'm just tired of wasting the cash.
