So, no crazy stuff... The 4T60E-HD transmission that we have is a good and solid one, and it should last you a long, long time if you are nice to it. The worst I've had happen with mine is an electrical issue. The hard goods are still just fine!

The only things you could do to "blow" your transmission is stupidly do burnouts with the wheels turned hard, doing neutral drops, reverse drops, or doing massive burnouts at every light or stopsign. The engine will be much harder to kill, but can die if abused severely, such as bouncing off the rev limiter like ricers do, overreving the engine past redline, overheating the engine, running low on oil, etc.
Remember, we are not talking a weak *** Escort or Cavalier here, we are talking about a L67 and a HD transmission built to be abused, but not too much on a constant basis.
