Default Black Curse strikes again!

Long.....bad story...short:

Sold my car to a guy on Thursday night. Ran fine the week when he came to test drive it.
Ran awesome when he picked it up.
Got a call from him yesterday morning about 11:30 and he said the motor is making a really bad knocking noise and the oil pressure dropped to 25 psi and wont go any higher.

So I went to his house today to confirm what he told me and yes its true.

Motor #4 darn black curse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sold it "AS-IS" clearly stated in the bill of sale.

But I will pay for half of the price for a used motor for him since he only put about 30 miles on it.

Though he did admit he did get on it pretty good getting on the highway before this happened.

I feel really bad for him......

-Todd

Bummer to hear that Todd. Nice of you to step up though and pay half on a new motor. That speaks volumes about the type of guy you are!

Pffft... Todd only half? That'* kinda weak.(Yes I'm totally busting on you)

I sold a Regal .. I was daily driving the car and it ran superb. Drove it all that day w/o issue.

Sell it and less than 5 minutes later Bob calls and mentions noises. I drove over thinking there was nothing he could have done in under 5 miles to his house. Rod knock. The next day it was toeed back to my house, that night I put a new motor in and he drove away by 2am. I did happen to get the motor for free, so it was simply one nights worth of time for me to swap it.

Where'* the Toddster 24 hour motor swap turn around?

Not many people would do what you are doing. Especially if it was a dealer!

Thanks guys!

So I went over to his home yesterday with half the price of a used motor with 6 locations of motors and prices and phone numbers. Gave it to him and about 10 seconds after I gave him the money he hands back to me $100 of it!!

He said that he can tell that I'm a very honest guy and that he knows crap happens and that he really appreciates all the help i gave him.

In the end it worked out I guess.

Todd.

Nice going Todd. Things go so much better in life when you step up and "be the man". You did it superbly and glad it all worked out.
