Ouch!! my brother just paid $75 to get one of his old 16x7 Prime 5-spoke rims repaired. It was cracked and air was leaking out leaving him with a flat tire about every other day.

I received a response back from a rim shop in MA. In my email, I asked about not only painting the parts that are currently gold but also refinishing the outer non-painted areas that are worn or damaged by previous wheel weights, etc.
They quoted $150 plus $15 for mounting & balancing per wheel. This includes machining of the wheels to restore the outer lip of the rim I would assume. This is 3X higher than some of the replies on this topic and was wondering if those replies were only for paint or if this quote is way off base.

The place my brother had repair his rim has a flat rate of $75 per wheel.
After seeing some of the earlier prices I was thinking $75 was high -and I still do.
You guys should shop around a little more (wish my brother had), and you'll find someone that will do it for $75 or under.
