Default BIG BAD totally recovered!

OK, some of you may know, most do not, that my PA has been having trouble now for a while. It started about sixmonths ago when a lifter started to go down. I was getting the usual tapping noise, but I still had to drive it for awhile because money was ultra-tight(NPI). One night I heard an especially loud CLICK! and it went away. :? Shortly there after I started getting a miss at mid throttle. Having already planned to get the lifters replaced, I did so(CmpCams OE-R lifters), hoping that the problems were related. I also got SLP headers at the same time, and got all the work done at INTENSE..
I was right to some extent. Tim didn't find anything wrong with the old lifters, but I haven't drooped one since, however, the miss returned, worse than before.
Since the symptoms pointed towards a bad coil, I checked them. Fine.
I then proceded to check everything else in the ignition, with the exception of the ICM, since it was the least likely suspect and I had no idea how to go about that.
I found nothing wrong anywhere, but the miss at mid-throttle continued to plague me.
I finally went back to my first thought and had AutoZone check the coils. They came up fine.
Last week I went to NEBF, taking my Dad'* truck and leaving the PA with my brother, MOPAR MAN. While I was gone, he double-checked everything I had already gone over. By this time, I had spent several months of sparse free Saturdays looking at my motor in frustration.
Finally, last Thursday, while I was at NEBF, the cart hrew a hissy fit on my Bro and started missing badly at idle. He said he could see the engine move every time it missed. I had him take it to a local dealer, praying that it wouldn't bankrupt me.
The call came the next morning.

SIX MONTHS OF WORRYING, TEARING MY HAIR, AND BUSTING MY F***ING KNUCKLES AND IT'* A GOD-DAMN COIL!!!!!!
Anyway, now the car is running great, and I'll be going in in early June to get it on a dyno for tuning! Yay me!

Glad to hear that Brian.

I've seen a few coils go and they'll only show up under hot conditions. Sometimes they can be tough to find.

Good news Brian. I missed seeing Big Bad at this meet. You have the nicest PAU I have seen.

Brian, I had a coil that kicked my arse on the Zilla about 4 years ago. Sucker wouldn't drop out until it got heated up good. I finally proved it with all 3 coils in the oven, pulled them out and checked them hot.

Glad to see BB back in good shape!
