Default Best way to drain Bonnes fuel tank...

OK so I am completely finished putting her back together....but after letting her sit for 7 months im thinking the gas is BAD. Now I tryed to fire her up and she sounds like shes back popping through the intake....im not exactly sure what that meens, but im hoping its just the nasty old gas not burning right....it also smells kind of like skunk gas after I stop cranking it.

SO what is the best way to drain these tanks so I can try fresh gas? I thought about siphoning, but alot of new cars have an anti siphon screen....does the Bonne?

I disconnected the filler and vent hoses going to the tank and siphoned fuel out. It was still a bit difficult to get the hose in there but it did go in. I did this prior to dropping the tank so the hoses had to be disconnected anyway. I'm not sure if this method will be more effort at your stage than other solutions.

I wouldn't think that the fuel is that bad after only 7 months though. Might just be gunked up injectors.

if you only have like half a tank just fill it with new gas and run it out.

Be careful not to get any in your mouth when siphoning. And make sure you drain it into a proper container (aka not the ground).
