Wow, Echo'* crap Bendix rotors aren't even the same as my crap Bendix rotors.

Well, clearly Bendix doesn't "make" rotors anymore, they just take the lowest bidded China rotors from whomever and stick 'em in a box.

On another note, no reply from Summit yet, but they sure do make it easy to return stuff

I just put a set of Chinese rotors on the front of my car. The guy at the parts store convinced me that there was no difference in the rotors and that I should just buy their cheapest set. I did, at $20 a rotor, and the box said Bendix, Made in China.

the 55014 and 55036 are interchangable. i believe there to be a slight difference in thickness, but i dont recall exactly what and how much. but both will work in place of the other.

I was going to give the Bendix rotors a shot this summer but after seeing this thread no chance that is happening.

i was also disappointed with raybestos. they always said "made in usa" right on them. or sometimes id see canada.

but now, "made in china" it is depressing. but i must say, even though they are made in china, they still look like they are better quality, than the generic chinese ones.

How about the Brembo rotors?
If Powerslot uses Brembo blanks, shouldn't the Brembo non-slotted rotors be better than these questionable imports?
Anyone try the AC Duralast rotors? Pricey but they look to be dimpled and slotted; the photo didn't show whether the holes were drilled through, they looked more like dimpled rotors.

For our 95 SE I'm about to go with the Brembo rotors, assuming Best quality under $50) with PBR Metal Master pads, although I am still contemplating using HAWK HPS SERIES BRAKE PADS -- Extremely Low Dust, High Friction/Torque Hot Or Cold, Gentle On Rotors, Virtually Noise-Free, Much Faster , etc...

Thanks for the scoop, agrazela. I was considering these myself.

No wonder Im already feeling warping. Looks like you weren't the only one who spent premium and got crap.
