Ya, well in the days of the v belts. I'ved used things we dont even want to reflect on the get 'er turning the pulleys.

I've found that bad battery cables can cause belt squeal by having bad connections and drawing more from the alternator.

One day.....one day I'll get you to change them.

My alternator'* bearings have gotten significantly louder ever since I changed the belt tensioner. It can't be good if you can hear it all the way from Brookfield.

But, now that I have a real job with timely paychecks, I can catch up on all the maintenance I've missed, including battery cables and wheel hubs. I look forward to being able to start my car in ten degree weather without my sensors going haywire.

There is a 98 at chuck and eddies in southington with nice cables.
