Default bad news for you guys, good news for me! :)

As a memory refresher....

She'* back! My buddy'* truck'* transfer case gave out on him, so he offered to fix my Bonneville for me if he could borrow one of my vehicles for awhile. She went in storage with a cooling problem (or three) and later blew the radiator. She'd been in storage for two LONG years.

I was warned early on that the problem that was causing her to overheat so badly could have been one of two things: thermostat or head gasket had it been the head gasket, this would be in the "for sale or trade" section I wouldn't have been able to justify or afford repairs.

It was the thermostat! She started right up, and ran smoothly, even after barely having been started in that two years.

I start driving her regularly again on Thursday, and will be driving her until my buddy'* truck is fixed. I'm glad to have her back!

noooot quite 88,000 actual miles on the clock.

Thanks, and me too! My buddy sounded so surprised when the car started right up with only fresh gas and a new battery. She'* never done any differently (even after four long years of unused storage), so I wasn't surprised in the least!
