Trans is Dead in SE, Working on some ideas.... Pg. 2
So... my trans in my 94Se is Whining now. Just started today at lunch.
So, im going to drop the pan, see what i find. Put new fluid in and try to make it last a few weeks till i have Maybe the $ for a Used one
The Question is.... What, if anything can i put it to try to make it last 3 weeks or so. :?:
IF any of that stuff works at all....

Seafoam trans-tune (not the same as the stuff you use on the motor) is the only 'aftermarket' product I'll put in a trans. It may or may not help you. It depends on what the problem is.

So yup.... its dead
On my way home from work, about 3 miles from work it started to slip just a bit.
Then it started to slip REALLY bad, so much it would not move at all.
So i parked in a parking lot. waited about 5min, started it back up and it worked okish.
Then about 4-5miles later it did it again, you could start to feel it slipping then nothing.
So i did that for the whole 25mile 45min drive home.
If it started to slip while was going down the road i Poped it into N and turned off the car for 15second or so and then restarted it and it worked for another 4-5miles
So yea... looks like i might have to drive the SSEi and HOPE it does not snow :?

Sorry to hear that Ryan. If when you get to doing the transmission you now I'll be there to help if I can.
Witht he way its acting, you want to try an external cooler? It seems like letting it cool off helps.

Sorry to hear it Badnit... we knew the SE Trans was on Bought time..
From what you have described, I do think the Seals and the like are done... As well the Pump like you described may have become weak and could be failing as well.. So the trans is finished..
It Did work Good in May when I drove it tho
