Driving down the road at about 35 MPH, I see this thing on the road, I swerved and missed it with the front wheel, but not with the rear. I had to get out and push the wrench into the tire cuz it was whapping against the wheelwell. Couldn't pull it out. Nice Goodyear trashed. Ya gotta avoid ANYTHING you see on the road. Especially the cops.

Ya except it was a lame double open end wrench and a not-too-useful size as I remember.

That sucks!

I know a guy who pulled a brake from a mountain bike out of someone'* tire. At that speed anything will stick in them. Really a PITA I'm sure.

What kind of problem would there be if you had tires a couple years old and then had to get a new one because of something like that? Wouldn't one new tire and three older tires with less tread be bad to drive with? How could that be fixed?

Default um

If you dont want to buy new tire(*) I suggest alteast 2 if they are over 2 years old or if they have worn tread. Because every once an a while the mold for the tire changes. it could change enough to make you car look down in one side.
--and i dunno about yours but my insurance covers tires from highway damage.. like if you hit a wrench going down the highway they will get you (a) new tire(*)

You need to change both tires now, either both fronts or both backs. When I had a nail in mine, I only changed the one front..ya big mistake, missed up everything. The next day I got the other front tire

$250 for 2 tires...great

Wow... Thats interesting! Sux to hear that though, my tires are pretty worn, and i'm pretty sure i have nails in the right side ones... I think i'll be getting new ones next summer... If i can find perfect rims and tires cheap i might do that, but maybe not.
