That sucker is clean as a whistle. But when shopping for a car, you don't want to find a detailed engine bay. It COULD mean they're trying to hide something. Look for a fine layer of dust and a little bit of grime. That'* an indication that nothing is wrong with it, and they're not trying to hide something.

Nice find, BTW. The car your Uncle has should be identical with the exception of the HUD.

Oh, I don't know. My engine had been detailed to the 10th degree when I bought it. It had no problems.

Boy does that bring back memories.. a few weeks before I bought the Riviera I was looking at a 95 bonneville that was in identical to that car in evey way. They wanted 5,700 for it too. It was hard to pass that car up, I love that color and how it looks. I got the Riviera for $200 cheaper though and it'* supercharged. Sometimes still wish I had an SSEi Bonneville in that color.

The point is that if you get a detailed engine, you don't KNOW if they're hiding something or not. If it'* NOT cleaned up, and evidence of a little grime or dust, you know they're NOT hiding a major leak or problem
