autotap

has anyone had any dealings with or used the autotap computer software obd11 reader www.autotap.com and if so what are your thoughts on this product . Ive been looking at it for a couple of years now . its on sale now for about 100$ it was up around 400$

Danthurs 11-24-2010 06:53 PM

I have not personally used it. But I haven't heard any issues with it.

was looking for something better than just a code reader

What is it your looking for? Something that can scan enhanced codes? Log data, things like that? There are some PC based programs that work very well. I used autoengineuity for a while. Not a bad program. I'm not using HP tuners VCM suite, a higher price, but very well worth it.

something to read more than p codes and to log data .

This scanner is about the best around, http://www.hptuners.com/products/vcmscanner.php however it is $350.

i have an HPtuner/scanner, worth every penny

Another option I'm looking in to right now is a Android app called torque. It's $4.95 and you only need a bluetooth/OBD2 plug. I just picked one up from Ebay for $21.99 shipped.

Here's a small example.
