I want one myself. I had a 84, bought it new. Wanted to check the coolant level and thought that was the radiator cap. What's this? Wow, the thermostat. Cool. Why can't the use that on other cars.

My Fiero project has been put on hold. I'm sad now.

My shop vac cringed at taht one... coolant...ewww I use a simple siphon to pull some out. Takes no time at all to swap a t stat, but I haven't taken the time or charged the battery etc.
Weather hasn't been ideal, I've been working. Heck the other week I did 3 header installs. Didn't really care for looking at another car that week. |
hehe, just pokin Bill. The way things are going here I haven't had much spare time either. I was seriously interested in a cleaner way of draining the coolant though. Siphoning a little out works for the thermostat, but what about the coolant elbows? I've been popping the lower Rad line off and draining it that way which makes quite the mess. I'm with you on the shop vac, I've got two nice shopvacs I don't want to subject to the coolant treatment. The one I leave the dry filter on and use for vaccuming the car regularly, and the other is still brand new in the box... it's smaller than the first and both are brand new.
If I ever get that nice big garage I've been dreaming about I'll have to get a big dirty shop vac that I won't mind sucking coolant with. |
Less about thermostats, MOAR about Fieros!

What do you think this is, burger king?
Just to humor you though... Dan, your Fiero project is on hold because SSExi overheard you talking about it and got jealous. She is now doing her darndest to make sure you spend every spare moment on her! |
