Default Am I crazy?

I don't own bonnies, but they're close enough :P

Anyway, I seem to have a fascination for old, outdated 80'* sports cars. I'd love to get my hands on an old Camaro, Pontiac Fiero, or a Buick Grand National or T Type....

But I've got my LeSabre T Type and I found another that I'm planning on buying. It should cost me around $1500 by the time I throw some maintenance parts on it and get it tagged so for just a regular old car its not too shabby, especially considering it was a former Florida rust-free car...

But I'm a college student on a limited budget, I already have one expensive to maintain T Type (I drug it out of a field a couple years ago so thats partially my fault ), I'm going to inherit my sister in laws '90 LeSabre with 80k original miles soon too... plus this "new" T Type. Everyone 'cept my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy for liking old cars...

You guys understand though, right?? One car to drive, one car to tinker on, and one car to park at my parents place or let my car-less g/f drive... Makes perfect sense to me. Plus they're old enough to easily work on, parts are cheap (other than 2 door specific parts... gaaah!), and they're just neat cars.

Just venting, I guess.... but is this normal behaviour of a 21 year old engineering student? Its like some people smoke, others drink, others collect music.... I collect old cars

You're far less crazy than college students who think they can afford to pay insurance and a note on a brand new car.

No kidding... I know a few people who had to drop out of school so they could afford their car payments... at least my car(*) are cheap enough to keep on the road plus they get decent fuel economy...

But yeah, most of my friends and family think I'm crazy. I live in a duplex with my brother so he hates all my tools laying around, but otherwise he'* allright with it as long as he has a place to park. My girlfriend doesn't mind as long as I don't go overboard.... plus she'* offered to help me paint my black T so shes a keeper

If it wasn't for forums like this online with fellow car nuts I don't know what I'd do!
