ALDL Data Stream norms
I bought an OBD I (serial port-computer end) to OBD II (ALDL port) cable and downloaded a trial version of EFI Live V4. Hooked it all up and viola! It works. I get a data stream. Unfortunately I don't know what the parameters SHOULD be, just what they are. Plus, with the vehicle definition provided by EFI I only get 8 data streams:
ECT
MAT
TPS
RPM (including desired Idle RPM and Actual Idle RPM)
Speed
IAC
MAF
Cylinder Air
Any help as to what the norms for these readings should be?

I suggest you get a Factory Service Manual. All the expected readings in all the possible conditions will be covered there. Once you start scanning, you need the manuals.
Moving to General Chat. This isn't a Mechanical problem.

So far it seems to be a pretty cool program, although I'm having difficutly figuring out how to work it. Maybe because it'* a trial version. For example, I'm getting a SES light and want to see the trouble code, but no trouble codes show in the DTC display. Maybe it'* one of the data streams I don't get
