in the years of 92-93 the Passenger Airbag was an option for the SSE but most/all SSE'* had the option

you could not get the airbag in a SE/SLE in the 92-93 MY.....

the SSEi had a Standard Passenger Airbag

all years after the 93 MY the Pass Airbag became a standard feature

im thinking that when the Bonneville came out in 92-93 in the SE/SLE model they made one dash with out the HUD and no airbag, so no airbag there was......then again for a car with the HUD....one design with the AIrbag.

Now lets look at like this, say you got an SSE with out the HUD.....(because it was an option) you got the dash without the airbag, so you couldnt have a pass airbag in the car....

then in 94 they made the SE/SLE dash with a airbag, so all the models had it....

Interesting note, the 93 dash that was orignally in my car had the cutout for the Airbag already molded into the dash on the underside but GM used a different top part of the dash

That makes me think of the torque axis mount. 90'* had the holes for it. But the engine wasn't introduced for 2 more years.

Odd how they do that stuff to us.
