sorry to hear about the motor, just curious, what was the mileage on the car when you bought the warranty?

Good Grief

Sounds like you need an attorney before a tech.

You might've spun a bearing. Lotsa things at this point. A new motor wouldn't be hard to do. Any 94/95 L67 from any car will bolt right in.

Don't think it'* a bearing, there'* no accompanying noise. And if I end up replacing the motor, it'* going to be a GM-remanufactured motor, not a motor out of someone else'* car or a re-man from some parts company I've never heard of. And, believe me, the work WILL be done at a GM dealer shop, NOT a local small-time shop.

Sorry to hear about that; totally blows. Make sure you dont pay a dime, especially if you have a GM authorized dealer fix it. What about second opinions from other mechanics?

Dude, hate to hear that. I went thru the engine replacement thingy. I got a Gm Goodwrench motor and had them install it, has a 3 year /36000 mile warrenty, and it runs like a champ! I think you'll be very pleased!

umm... don't think so. I'd have to replace EVERYTHING, all accessories, PCM, etc...

Looking at prolly $6-7000 for that.
I'll be content with a new S1
