is there anyway to completely have your ac system gutted ripped out of your car and install some idler pulley in its place or drop down in belt size

To answer your question, sure there is. Although it is probably easier to leave the evaporator core in the HVAC box and remove the rest of the system....it is possible.

There was a way cheaper option than $100 found. I have to go search for it but I think it was less than $50.
