Has anyone touched on a FOB?

I realized that it is the acroymn for the keyless entry/security remote, but what does FOB stand for.

As for the compiled list, maybe we should separate it into computer lingo (ie LOL, WTF, IMAO) and another for mechanical components (ie CAI, TB etc)

Any good or no?

Right, have a Jargon list and a Technical Abbreviations list.

In the jargon list, you don't need to limit yourself to acronyms, either. I remember on an old Little British Cars list they had some joke definitions of common terms as applied to British cars that didn't actually _run_; e.g. "Rotate the Tires" meant to push it down the driveway and back...

TDC - Top Dead Center

FORD - Fix Or Repair Daily(you all know that one) - First On The Recycle/Rubbish Dump(Made that up a few years ago but probably not original) - Fauked Over Rebuilt Dodge(My bosses favorite one) - Fools Only Really Drive(them)

These are all for post 1972 Fords. I like most pre 1972 fords.

In the Warehousing bussiness it means: Free on Board! In other words, no shipping charges to that point. Just a little FYI!
