It'* ok.. that whine spanked most V8'* into submission. A turbo is nice and I do agree the sound is muffled, but heck.. power is power.

I like the sound of a supercharger, even more when they whine louder then a 3 year old denied a cookie.

if theres a way to have it silenced, id say ok. or swap out with a paxton instead of eaton, if the paxton is silent or at least makes a more attractive noise when gunning it.

The eaton is a great blower. And unless you drop down to a crazy pulley size. The super charger is mostly silent.

I know I have underlying anxiety about my Impalas transmission since I've read that they are as 'delicate as glass'. If my tranny ever does go out, would I be able to put in a HD tranny? I was under the impression that the PCM would get all confused and fudged up and wouldn't work with an HD tranny.

Same transmission. Only the diff, input shaft, and diff cover is different. Then the right axle is also different. The only thing that could be a issue is if the gearing changes.

Your PCM monitors the input speed and the output speed of the transmission. And it will not be what is expected. So you will get a SES light. It will also throw off the shift points because the RPM will not match the MPH. As long as the gear ratio is the same, there is no problems.
