Default '96 G6 driver seat memory
I was told that on my 1996 G6 GT, we can program the remotes to recognize different drivers and when each individual driver uses their remote, the mirrors and driver seat would go to their preset positions. Does anyone know if this is true, or possible? The car DOES NOT have the driver buttons on the door which change the seat positions automatically depending on which driver is in the car and the corresponding button is pressed.

Because you don't have the buttons, I would say you do not have the option in the car.

The G6 wasn't introduced until 2004. Do you have a 1996 Grand Am or a 2006 G6?
