Default 96-99 mesh grill install

i have a 97 se and i was wondering how to put mesh in the grill. i kinda have an idea but i dont know exactly how.

i've considered doing that as well but decided it was too ricey..heh


by the looks of it you may have to cut the honeycomb off then fit the mesh up and super glue it in place

an alternative would be fitting the mesh over the honeycomb...not sure how that would look though...

That'* the way I'm doing it on my 95. Talk to BillBost37 though. He'* good at making that stuff, I don't know if he'* done it to his 97 yet, but did it to his 95 with out cutting or glueing anything.

Why get rid of the stock grill..... just paint it..... like alien and I did....

I installed mesh in the lower part though.... like below the fog lights and above the skirt.... looks good there.

I put it right over the grill in my 95. It'* green and you can't see it.

I cut it just right to hold itself in place. No glue needed. On the 97 I believe I'm going to do it again, right over the grill. May use some wire or something to hold it. And will probably put some super thin hose or something over the edge.

i got it done. i have only done the top grill so far. im going to do it to the slots inbetween the fog lights this week. it looks good. its a subtle difference but i like it. it can be done with super glue, its just a pain in the a$$. ill post pics in the next few days.

where did u guys get the mesh from. I was just thinking bout doing that. I also have the grill with the chrome trim around it and it came off, i was wondering if anybody knows the best glue to use to keep it on there. Thanks for any help
