Default 94'* : TWO intake resonators?

I was looking under the hood this weekend, and noticed something rather interesting. My 94 has 2 resonators on the air intake system.

1 is located on the tube behind the headlamp leading to the intake box, the other is a small intake resonator on the accordian tube leading from the air box to the TB. Startling. Is the intake that noisy that GM had to add 2 resonators.

I have seen a few S1 SC'd engines and I never noticed this. Anyone have 2?

95 had one on the tube between airbox and TB like you mention. I don't think there was one in front

I wish to remove these resonators completely.

Anyone have some spare stock tubing (before air box, and after airbox) to ship...come on all you S1 SC'd cone intake owners. ?

I'm not modding my winter car Billy

The objective is to save up and modified/restore/improve the Aurora. However if someone is feeling generous...I'll ease their parts load and take the non-resonated intake components.

I wish we had the chance to stop in at yer place when I was in CT Bill, you'd know why I am saving the Aurora....but anyway, intake intake!!

Jimbo, my 95 is the same as your SSEi. I still have the stock resonator-less intake accordian from the 93, but it won't fit your TB.

The 94 has a bigger TB then the 93? Is that why it wont fit? What about a 95?...either way, it sounds like the intake accordian is gonna have one either way. I wouldnt mind getting the intake nozzle before the airbox without a res..know what I mean.

I can live with 1 resonator.

JimmyW... Holes and tubes like BillyW did on the old air box.

Winter cars should be fun too...and we hoped you could have made it..
