Default 94/95 differences?

My uncle finallly came over today with his 95 SSEi and I noticed his dash says 6000 for the redline, whilst, mine says 5500. I do know that the 94/95 engine is exactly the same along with the trans. Can I swap out my 94 computer for the 95 so it will shift at 6k? Or am I not pushing it hard enough and it does shift at 6k? :?

It'* probably do to the L36 coming out that year. It has an extended rev. You really don't want to be winding a ser1 L67 out to 6k. Its way past peak power. 6k is even pushing it for a stock L36.

BUT, why is the 6k redline on the SSEi'* dash? Just because of a computer change?

its because with the Series2 the shift was at 6k it has nothing to do with the computer....they made one cluster and used it
