I woudlnt feel bad for the kid. Thats what happens when you race on the streets & not pay attention . At least your tranny stayed together. The newer Civic Si'* are a joke they are in the 16'*. If its against older ones then they can put up a descent fight with the right driver. glad to see everything worked out for you though.

Why do they even call them civics in the US. In Japan I believe they name cars by what they look like. In Japan this new civic is released under the name the Guppy Si.

Hey! I figured out why they put fins on civics!

Actually car and driver all out dissed these wack cars as looking like guppies.

Even if they are ugly, they get lots of sales here. Most people just care about if the car gets from Point A to Point B, and don't worry about performance and style.

In general it doesn't make much sense to buy a completely brand new car especially its 1st year before the maker works out all the bugs they might have forgot about.

Accept for maybe the GXP, I can't blame anyone who goes out and buys that thing the second they step into the dealership.

"almost" being the key word there.......... right?

I mean everyone knows the damagers of racing, and yet we do it anyway. I'll admitt I'm one of the first to gun it off the line when called upon.

And as for the "rich kid" you called him... I'm sure he can afford to pay the ticket with ease. I'm just glad to hear you didn't get busted.
