L27 valvetrains are identical to the L67.

That'll change his view point pretty quick. LOL

I think at 205k some new valve springs wouldn't be a bad idea and a good retorque of the rockers.....ahh hell just replace them while I'm there.....LOL

when i had my SSE, it also had the lifter cladder as did my 90 and moms 91 does, BUT, they were all super high mileage vehicles. My 99 GTP is a Series II and is very quick, but i have test driven Series I that were just as, or so they felt. I also cant tell the noise difference from my 94 and the 96 i used to drive my grandma around in. BTW, have you every considered a GP GTP. has a majority of the options the SSEi has, and is a little cheaper. I didnt think i could like a gp as much as my bonne, cause it was my bonne, but i couldnt find an SSEi within 300 miles for the price i was wanting to pay. I got my gtp for a great price and have loved it, and so far, my BC family hasnt ousted me!!LOL!! good luck with you car shopping and stuff, the fun part is test driving!!
