Umm pat.. the 92-95 only mount with two spots also. its really not hard to fab up and new bracket to hold it.

and from what i recall from the yard, that HL and the Corner lens is close enough to where no one will see but you and I

Dont you think that the 96-99 corner would look allot worse then just a little difference with the HL.

Im not afraid to make my own supports

92-95 brackets are a 3-point mount. Not 2.

i meant the two thumb screws. sense thats what hold the headlight in place,
I knew that it had 3 for the bucket bracket

The 96-99s have 3, two near where the 92-95 mount, and then one by the Corner lens.

What i will do is see if the HL will hold nicely just with the two if not ill get some aluminum and make my own bracket to hold it,

Now that that i see how it mounts it shouldn't be to hard :?

After you undo the thumb screws...what other bolt do you remove? Or are you talking the bracket behind the bracket which is similar to what we see in Bob'* picture?

The third point is a non-fastened socket. But it is in fact a 3-point mount. It has to be in order to be aimed and stable.

I think this swap will meet with trouble. The subrame bracket on the car also supports the fender and corner light. It'* not likely to be compatible with the 92-95 plastic fender.

yeah um will, i think your thinking of the wrong part here.

What im going to do is take off/out the 92-95 HL/Adjuster bracket and the Bucket, Then put in the 96-99 bracket and use the Adjuster bracket that comes with the new HL to mount to it.

I know all about how the 92-95 mount, iv taken mine off 4 time in the past week to fix my adjusters

There are to "adjuster mounts" then one ball socket mount that just lets the HL flop around as a pivot point.

Wren hit it on the head....the 96-99 Fender is open and the HL BRACKET mounts in there....the 92-95 HL BRACKET dont depend on the fender for anything...and the corner of the 92-95 mounts independently of the HL bracket....

you simply cant cut off the 96-99 bracket so it works with the fender, that will not work, it needs a mounting point near the fender...

does someone need to take specific pics of the mounting points of the 96-99 to show, i think that it would help, and also to show in pics what has been said in words

Pat i know all that, but what im saying is that ill make my own mount point over there.

But yeah, if someone can take some pics of the back of the Headlight and the mount points that will help

also, this will be easier when i have them in my hand, iv never really looked closely at one before.
