is their a big difference between the 9006 and 9005 light bulbs? i got some 9006 bulbs for 12.95 when their useally 30+. i remember that someone cut some tab to make them work.

one has the tip covered to reduce light that would go stright forward into an oncomming drivers eyes, and the tabs are a bit different.

and normally the high beam one is 65 watts and the low beam 55

did it to our car over a year ago, love the light i have now and NO one has flashed there lights at us yet and we do a lot of night driving (over 200 miles last night in light to heavy fog). you do get more light, a 9005 bulb has 70% more lumens than the 9006 (1700 lumens vs 1000 lumens). HID has 3200 lumens. this site has good pic'* of how to do the mod
